Alyssa is an outpatient therapist with Foundry/Chrysalis who recently graduated from the University of Denver with her master’s degree in counseling psychology. She is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) and is working towards full LPC licensure. Alyssa believes that recovery is a community-based process, emphasizing the healing qualities of connection to others while in recovery from addiction. She utilizes person-centered, trauma-informed treatment approaches, combining methods from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Alyssa has a background in working with trauma, intimate partner violence, and substance use. Alyssa is passionate about the destigmatization of addiction and mental health and is an advocate for change within the systems that our clients navigate. Originally from Quincy, IL, Alyssa is still exploring the Denver area and loves to discover all the beautiful nature that the area has to offer. In her free time, she collects and cares for many houseplants and loves going to live music.
